Marti Correa
Head of Relationship Management, North America

Marti Correa was appointed Managing Director and Head of North America Relationship Management based in New York in August 2021. Under her leadership, she is responsible for setting the overall Relationship Management strategy and execution for all business lines including Corporate Finance, Structured, Financial Institutions, Public and Project Finance, Infrastructure as well as Global Intermediaries. Prior to this role, she was Managing Director and Head of US Corporate Finance Relationship Management.

Before joining Moody’s, she held senior leadership roles in Corporate Finance, Business Development, Private Equity and M&A with large franchise corporations. Marti was Assistant Treasurer at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company responsible for global treasury operations with regional treasury teams in US, EMEA, APAC and LatAm. She led global strategy and execution for capital markets and risk management and managed relationships with rating agencies, banks, and intermediaries. Prior to Goodyear, Marti held senior roles in Business Development and M&A at Nestlé Waters NA, and at Stanley Black & Decker, where she led global strategic acquisition platforms across diversified industry segments. She also built a diverse background in Structured and Public Finance while at MBIA and in Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance with GE Capital, Goodyear and Stanley Black& Decker.

Prior to that, Marti spent 11 years with GE Capital innumerous leading roles, including GE Equity, Commercial Finance, and the Executive Office responsible for private equity, distressed investment portfolios, and M&A.

Marti earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. She was an Adjunct Faculty in 2019/2020 at the Columbia University graduate Risk Management program in New York. She passed the CPA exam in Connecticut, is Green Belt certified, and Black Belt trained by GE Capital.

Throughout her career, Marti has maintained a strong focus on DE&I and mentoring. At Moody’s, she serves as a senior council member of MCO’s NY MBRG conectaMos committee.
